Include Education Group is the proprietor of Welby Grange, St Matthews and West Bars. This page explains how our schools are governed, how leaders are held to account for the quality and safety of every school, and how those judgements are independently verified. Accountability flows upward through evidence; support and challenge flow downward through leadership.

The structure

Tier 3 · School Leadership

How judgements are assured

Accountability at every tier is evidence-based and triangulated — no single source stands alone.

1

Curriculum Impact Dashboard

The primary communication point for each school’s progress and impact measures, reporting up from Head of Centre to the ELT and on to the proprietor.

2

Proprietor visits

Planned, first-hand assurance visits that test the data against reality and the lived experience of pupils.

3

Independent expert & legal verification

The Educational Psychologist, NLE for SEND and Stone King Law independently validate the group’s judgements, outcomes and documentation.

How it works in practice

The accountability cycle

The proprietor body holds the ELT — led by the Director of Education — to account for the quality and safety of every school. The ELT in turn holds each Head of Centre to account for their school, always alongside clear, practical support.

Support alongside challenge

Challenge is never isolation. Each Head of Centre receives coaching, CPD, safeguarding supervision and protected capacity from the ELT; the ELT receives strategic direction, resources and independent expertise from the proprietor. Support and challenge are two halves of one accountable system.

Dashboard, visits and verification

The Curriculum Impact Dashboard is the shared language of progress across the group. Proprietor visits triangulate what the data shows, and independent experts and legal advisers verify the group’s judgements and documentation — so decisions are grounded, honest and externally assured.

Roles shown are postholder titles; named postholders sit behind each role. This structure is reviewed annually. Version 1.1.
